        Quotes of the Day!
Today’s quote is by a woman who also says what she thinks in a way that I wouldn’t dare,
but when it’s coming from an overdressed “lady” with a snout, I think it’s permissible.
If it was socially acceptable, I’d teach my girls her motto:
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time
to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.” Miss Piggy

True Confession:
We did the cliche thing and joined a gym as part as our New Year’s resolution. The point of doing so was to start feeling better about our body image.
I have NEVER felt worse about myself.

Quote of the Day!
"Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting." - Anonymous
I think this quote is right on the money. First of all, of course it's anonymous because who wants to confess that. We live in a weird society that wants us to seem like we have it all together but also congratulates us if we are brave enough to admit that we aren't. No wonder we are all a little bit crazy. Do you feel this way too? Do you try to hold it all together and know on the inside that you really can't? Well, you aren't alone here!

True Confession:
I'm not normal....so I guess I should be well rested - ha!

Friday, January 6
Fridays are for randomness. It's the weekend....well, practically. And as a stay-at-home mom sometimes I don't remember which day I'm in, so the weekend could be Wednesday. {This is also due to my husbands crazy schedule....but that is a story for another day!} But today I ushered in the weekend with my sons 2nd birthday! We decided to have a birthday breakfast for him with our family. It was early but all the kids were up anyway and hungry....and I love breakfast food. It was fun chaos...you know the kind....kids running, toys everywhere. But it got me to thinking....how great is it that we celebrate birthdays!? We are taking a moment to celebrate life and show that person how important they are to us. My son is extra special to me and celebrating him is fun. I don't know how you all celebrate birthdays whether it is a big whoopla or an intimate get-together, either is just fine. As an event planner I could go on and on about all the details that need to be considered {in fact, you should have seen my kitchen yesterday!} but really, when it comes down to it, showing that person how much they mean to you is the best gift and celebration we can share. Now, tomorrow we are off to my brothers birthday celebration! What a great weekend!

Quote of the Day!
I am a quote freak. I write them down, I memorize them, & I keep them tucked away because I have come to the conclusion that other people can say what I’m thinking better than I can.  I begin today by highlighting the words of Bette Davis, a Hollywood legend. She said what was on her mind and never apologized for it. Today’s quote is exactly how I feel about my life with my husband & two spunky girls:
“Basically, I believe the world is a jungle, and if it's not a bit of a jungle in the home, a child cannot possibly be fit to enter the outside world.” Bette Davis

True confession
I can’t stand reading blogs…I know, I’m hypocritical. Here I am writing on a blog hoping that you want to know my opinions, thoughts, & ideas. Does this mean I’m not credible? Maybe, but I hope you think this makes me an original.
